Foster Care Opportunities
Foster Care Services are available to those individuals that are enrolled in Home and Community Based Services (HCS). It is one of several options for residential services available. The Foster Care Provider can be a family member or a non-family member. All Foster Care Providers are screened and the home evaluated to ensure that the individuals needs can be met in that setting.
The process for becoming a Foster Care provider begins with the completion of the attached application. Once the application is complete it will be reviewed and the references will be checked. A criminal history will also be completed on each potential provider. The local Service Director will then schedule a visit to the home to evaluate the physical environment.
For Non-family members we attempt to match the needs of the individual served, with that of the Foster Care provider.
If you are interested in learning more about becoming a Foster Care Provider please contact the manager of the area in which you live. The contact information is provided on the first page of the application.
